Delivery policy
- At launch, delivery is intended for addresses in Zimbabwe only. We do not currently promise international delivery.
- Current planning estimates are 1–2 business days for Harare and Mashonaland West, and 3–5 business days for other provinces. These are estimates, not guaranteed delivery dates; stock confirmation, address accuracy, public holidays and carrier conditions may affect timing.
- Delivery is US$10 for orders under US$100 and free for orders of US$100 or more, for all Zimbabwe provinces. The final delivery charge and payable total are calculated from the server catalog and shown before payment is requested.
- Please provide a reachable phone number and complete delivery address. Contact orders@hometakei.com if a confirmed order is delayed or the delivery details need correction.
Returns, cancellations & refunds
- For eligible non-perishable items, contact us within 7 days after delivery to request a return. Items should be unused and returned with their original packaging and included parts where reasonably possible.
- This change-of-mind policy does not limit any rights you may have under applicable law. If an item arrives damaged, defective, incorrect or materially different from its description, contact us promptly at orders@hometakei.com with the order number and a description of the issue.
- For food, hygiene-sensitive or other perishable goods, contact us as soon as possible about a quality, damage or fulfilment problem. Their nature may affect whether a change-of-mind return is appropriate, but statutory rights remain unaffected.
- You may request cancellation before an order is dispatched by contacting orders@hometakei.com. Once dispatched, use the returns process.
- Where a refund is due, we will confirm the resolution and use the original payment method when supported by the payment provider. Processing times depend on that provider. Contact HomeTakei to request a refund.

Privacy policy
HomeTakei uses information submitted through account, contact and support interfaces to operate the website, respond to customers, manage staff access and fulfil orders when checkout is enabled. This may include a customer's name, email address, phone number, delivery address, account password hash, support messages and order details. Contact enquiries and live-chat messages are stored in the HomeTakei database and are available to authorized customer-support staff.
- Passwords are stored as password hashes; the site should never ask you to email your password.
- The shopping basket is stored in the browser's local storage and a server session cookie is used for sign-in and security. Do not use a shared device without signing out.
- HomeTakei does not intentionally store full card numbers or security codes. PayPal or Paynow processes payment information when the relevant provider is enabled; its own privacy terms will also apply.
- Information is used for service operation, customer support, security, fraud prevention and applicable record-keeping. Access should be limited to authorized staff. HomeTakei does not claim to sell customer personal information.
- Records may be retained for as long as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, protect the service or meet applicable legal obligations. A final retention schedule and production data-protection process still need to be established.
- To ask about access, correction or deletion of personal information, contact enquires@hometakei.com. Requests may be subject to identity checks and legal record-keeping requirements.
HomeTakei uses PayPal and Paynow for online payment when available. Provider processing and any applicable cross-border data transfers are subject to their privacy terms.
